How to Install macOS Using a Bootable USB

 STEPS TO INSTALL  MAC OS USING BOOTABLE USB

STEP 1: DOWNLOAD MAC OS

- Go to app store and download MAC OS.   https://support.apple.com/en-us/102662

To create a bootable USB installer, you need a USB flash drive with at least 16 GB RAM.



STEP 2: PLUG THE USB DRIVE


- Open disk utility ,for that press (COMMAND + SPACEBAR and type disk utility )

                                       



- From the list of  external drive select and  find the USB drive 
- Here the install mac is the name of the drive , then tab to the install mac.

STEP 3: FORMAT THE DRIVE


-Click erase.
                                       


-Then click format option and select  MAC OS EXTENDED(JOURNALED)

                                         
-Click erase
-Wait for Disk Utility to finish, then click DONE.


STEP 4: LOCATE THE INSTALLER TOOL


- Open up the finder and click on application.
                                           

- There you will find install macOS Big Sur.
                                           
                                           



-Then right click on the installer, then select show package content.

                                           

- Open up content folder
-Then open up Resources 
-Find "createinstallmedia"
                                                      

--Keep it like this and go to the finder

STEP 5: CREATE BOOTBALE USB

-Open the terminal which you can find in that in the application utilities folder.
-AS the terminal open , use command 
sudo  + space
- Then go back to finder and then drag create install media to the terminal window and release it as soon as you reach the terminal.
                                          

-Then type --volume+sapcebar
-Go back to finder and then go to menu bar and  go to folder
-Rename the folder name to /volume
-Then press GO

- Formatted disk will appear
-  For better confirmation it's better to double click to the formatted disk to ensure everything is being erased
-Then drag the formatted disk into the terminal
                                           

-Press Return
-Enter your password when prompted (note that you won't see the letter or character appaer)
-When warned that the drive will be erased , type Y and press Return
-Process may take time
                                                                    
                                        

-After that close the terminal.
-Go to finder and then open the disk 
-You will see it's untitled 
                                            

STEP 6: ALTER BOOT SETTINGS

-Shut down the MAC
-Press and hold the power button until Startup option appears
                                          

                                                 

-select the mac0S installer from the boot menu
-Press Return
                                             

-
Click to Disk utility
-Tap CONTINUE
-Go to drives available in internal selection 
-Choose the primary ssd drive  
-Then select the install macOS                                                 

                                                   

STEP 7: FINAL SETUP

- Agree terms and condition
-Select the disk you want to install , and select continue
-The installation may take time
-Adjust setting according to your preference.
-Your macOS is ready.
